Purpose: Orchard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking compassionate, caring individuals to fill several recently opened Resident Care Assistant positions. This position offers both full-time or part-time schedules with enhanced flexibility with no experience needed. Great opportunity for someone just starting out in the workforce, a college student, or someone looking for a second job. The RA will train/work within the facility under a certified instructor to become a Certified Nursing Assistant!

LOCATION: Orchard, NY

Main Purpose: Assists professional nursing personnel by performing non-clinical routine functions of nursing care to residents. Gives prompt and efficient assistance to nursing personnel in performance of duties and care of residents under the supervisions of RN, LPN, or Nursing Supervisor, following established policies and procedures. Treats residents’ information as confidential. Cooperates with other personnel.

• This is a non-direct care position, some required tasks will include making resident beds, internal transporting of our residents, answering resident call lights, delivering resident food trays and other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• US work authorization (Preferred)

Requirements: Must possess the following skill sets to qualify for this position!

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to get along with residents of various cultures and backgrounds
• Strong problem-solving skills
