Restorative Aide/C.N.A.

Position Summary:

Assists rehabilitation therapy patients and performs restorative treatments and/or exercises under direction of Rehabilitation Department.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Prepares and treats residents in gait training and other exercises as directed by therapists

Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment.

Safeguards, motivates, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff.

Provides routine treatments such as hydrotherapy, hot and cold packs, and paraffin bath as directed.

Transport patients to and from treatment area.

Clean work areas and equipment after treatments as directed.

Records treatment given and equipment used.

Observes and reports residents’ response to care and treatments

Identify & report any safety or health concerns (proper lifting, compliance with caution signs, proper use of PPE’s, etc.)

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Certified Nurse Assistant with specialized training.
