This opportunity will allow you to implement processes, tools, and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor, and report risks. You will also aid in the due diligence review of our investment products. Success in this role will involve putting analytical skills into practice, while giving significant attention to details. Utilize effective communication skills to validate and confirm information provided by internal stakeholder partners within the company. What you do Risk Management: * Identify and resolve key risk factors and develop and implement corresponding mitigation methodologies. * Develop metrics and processes to identify and evaluate risk in the business areas of Ameritas Investment Company (AIC). * Work with business areas to establish and document controls in place to mitigate such risks. * Analyze risk components and prepare reports and recommendations for use by senior management. * Coordinate the third-part vendor management program for AIC, including review of SOC reports for key vendors. * Coordinate the business continuity efforts of AIC. * Coordinate the Records Information Management (RIM) efforts of AIC. * Coordinate the Enterprise Risk Reporting efforts of AIC * Serve as an active member of the Risk Working Group, providing expertise, recommendations, reporting, input and necessary actions on risks and issues presented to the Group. * Coordinate risk efforts effectively with the compliance, finance, supervision, operations, and shared distribution departments. Due Diligence: * Serve as member of the Product Review Committee, providing analysis and recommendations on products submitted to the PRC * Seek ways to continuously improve the product platform, with the goal of risk mitigation. What you bring * Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or similar related field of study required * 1-2 years’ experience, preferably in financial or operational risk management with a focus on identification of key risk factors, including conflict of interest, and development of mitigation methodologies. * Intermediate to advanced level experience with Excel required * FINRA Series 7, 24, 66 licenses required, or must be obtained within twelve (12) months of entering role * Securities industry experience desired, including familiarity with investment products, FINRA, and SEC Rules * Data analysis skills, including identifying patterns and finding outliers What we offer * Our company motto is “Fulfilling Life” and we take that job seriously, with a heavy commitment to volunteering and community support, employee well-being, and providing quality products and services that help our customers create a brighter future. * Being a mutual-based organization, the return on our investment goes back into the company, to benefit our members/customers. * We’re committed to professional development, opportunity, inclusion, and diversity.
