What You Will Do:As the Risk Management Specialist, you will develop, implement and coordinate risk management activities.
- Develop, implement and evaluate practices and policies.
- Collect and assess data to identify potential or actual sources of risk to patients and employees.
- Collaborate with staff and quality committee members with respect to risk-related incidents, policies and practices.
- Develop or facilitate safety, risk and quality care initiatives.
- Comply with codes, laws, rules and regulations concerning patient care, including those mandated by state and federal agencies.
- Oversee investigation of incidents by collecting information necessary to prepare for the defense of claims, interacting with legal counsel, insurance carrier, and patients/families to effect timely settlement.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience preferred.
- Paralegal or claims experience preferred
