Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Robotics Engineer position at Utilimaster will engage in a multitude of automation projects that support our operational objectives. Projects will range from robotic paint and welding applications to integration with fabrication equipment and material handling. This position will have integral involvement in each project from the scope and development, through material sourcing and assembly, until completion and execution on the production floor.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the development, build, and launch of new robotic applications
• Design robotic systems from start to finish
• Develop and implement all aspects of a PLC interface with robotic applications
• Ensuring that robotic machines operate safely
• Perform integration tests and quality control
• Create complete documentation for robotic systems
• Monitor the use of robotic systems and optimize their functionality
• Troubleshoot defects in the robot design
• Implementing improvements to increase production
• Robotic Operations production support as necessary
• Collaborate with Operations, Design, and Controls Engineering as applicable

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a robotics engineer or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fanuc Robotics, Allen Bradley Controls
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop and evaluate integrated systems
• A desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
