Job Description

This position is responsible for the advanced repair and the assigned preventative maintenance of miscellaneous equipment in a designated department, in order to eliminate down- time and meet yearly performance goals.

Job Duties:

• Perform mechanical trouble shooting and repair with the limited assistance and/or supervision
• Design, plan, and fabricate devices and repair broken parts using various pieces of equipment, maintaining a high degree of safety awareness while using methods that are USDA approved
• Perform varying degrees of plumbing repairs, maintenance, for installation on all types of systems including steam, water, air and hydraulics
• Assist in the installation of new equipment, making modifications when necessary.
• Diagnose and insolate electrical trouble utilizing appropriate test equipment with limited assistance and or supervision
• Able to work 5 days/week with varied hours/day and days/week as scheduled (Saturday and Sunday work required on an as needed basis)
• Able to use hands/ arms repetitively- continuously
• Able to work in cold temperatures (25-50 degrees) and damp environment continuously
