Overview

TE Connectivity's Marketing teams are responsible for broad marketing strategy and execution across all marketing and/or digital activities including integrated, digital, communications, product marketing, etc., for a business, region, country or corporate function by developing clear and compelling positioning and value propositions and go-to-market approaches for new product introductions. They are also responsible for brand portfolio management, aligning with corporate frameworks, including marketing plans for newly acquired brands and creative direction of all marketing communications, overseeing brand experience across all marketing and customer, sales and employee touch points. They develop and implement an integrated strategy for digital marketing, including the TE.com website and social media, digital advertising campaigns that lead the marketing community in accelerated adoption of emerging digital and content-centered marketing practices and lead development and delivery of best practice marketing communications by leveraging industry trends, competitive intelligence, customer insights and analysis in developing compelling marketing programs. 

Position description:

As part of the new Performance Materials Emerging Business Unit the Snr Manager integrated marketing will be operating in a pivotal hybrid role of hands on execution, strategic planning and integration of a pipeline of inorganic expansion, new product development and existing product market share gain.

The incumbent will be responsible for the achievement of our growth objectives by developing and executing strategies to build TE Performance Materials product brand awareness and scale.  The role offers an exciting, fast track, fast growth environment with senior management exposure and development, requiring managerial courage and operating in an environment of occasional ambiguity. The incumbent will be measured against rapidly growing Customer Count, lead funnel generation, market share and optimizing customer experience in direct, indirect and channel customers and the integration management through the inorganic expansion process from diligence to synergy value generation. 

This role required close collaboration with the other commercial functions including Product Management, Sales, Business Development and Strategy to build, execute and optimize awareness and demand generation campaigns tied to profitable growth. This includes the managing, developing, monitoring sales and marketing processes and performance needed to support growth of the business in accordance with the Performance Materials Business Unit Strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

•    Design, direct and lead the Performance Materials Global marketing and communications strategy (internal & external) by developing and implementing integrated programs that are aligned with overall growth objectives and to advance our growth pillars 
•    Own Performance Materials market, product and customer analytics. Provide an understanding and insights into market size, customer segments, prospect segments, and opportunities based on leveraging marketing data, analytics and insights including Net Promoter score, as well as partnering with the BU strategy and product management organization. 
•    Lead cultural transformation of a growing team as newly acquired performance materials business are integrated into the business unit, while maintaining an enterprise mindset, values and aligned messaging. 
•    Manage the strategy development and oversee the flawless execution of global/regional/local marketing campaigns and programs across the mix, from advertising and promotions to high-touch, in-person customer experiences (including customer events and tradeshows) to cutting-edge digital marketing.
•    Drive the development of digital product, application within the Performance Materials product brand and the acquired brands to enable existing and newly developed product to be marketing across all of TE’s business units (Cross Business Unit)  and channels to market.
•    Oversee the development and implementation of Digital Marketing processes, eCommerce initiatives and distribution marketing programs with strategic partners to drive revenue and growth in partnership with TE’s multiple segment marketing teams.
•    Be responsible for brand portfolio management and brand experience across all marketing and customer, sales and employee touch points, aligning with corporate frameworks. Manage application of brand standards across the segment; Advise marketing and business leadership on application of standards. Manage brand plans for newly acquired product brands to maximize the value generation and enhance brand and product stickiness and moat.
•    Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Sales to ensure promotional plans support and drive brand growth and match product strategies and product positioning. 
•    Work closely with other Business Unit marketing colleagues, the CS Segment and Corporate Marketing Teams to leverage shared strengths and resources, implement corporate-wide best practices and be the point of contact for Performance Materials for all Marketing and Communication related matters.

Strong capability to link the marketing approach to the overall business strategy with the right execution model is essential.

The candidate should be able to function as an individual contributor at times as well as part of a team.  The successful candidate will have a keen ability to seek the ideas of multiple individuals in the organization and help facilitate the best path forward for the eBU in strategic decisions. 

In addition, successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and skills: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Science or Engineering is required. MBA graduate program preferred.
•    5 plus years of experience in a global marketing role, the marketing experience in Performance Materials industry is highly preferred.
•    High-levels of conceptual thinking, problem structuring and analysis, cross functional team leadership, and the ability to work across organizational boundaries. 
•    Managerial courage and communication skills to effectively and constructively challenge and influence and guide senior leaders and experts in the organization.
•    Skilled at working and leading in a multi-cultural, multi-matrix, international business environment.
