Job Description
Primarily responsible is ensuing the highest-level sanitation to achieve the a high level of food safety and quality of this company’s products. The following are the key responsibilities for the position:
  • Extensive knowledge of US Food Allergens and how to sanitize for US food allergens and cross-contamination of at least one of the Big 8
  • Able to maintain, revise and monitor a Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Establish effective and efficient sanitation activities necessary to maintain a safe, quality food atmosphere within the facility.
  • Revise systems to ensure compliance to all company and agency food safety standards
  • Knowledge of hazardous Pathogens that are common in a food manufacturing environment and the procedures to eliminate the threat.
  • Ability to verify and document chemical concentrations used during clean-up.
  • Conduct evaluations for Kaizen activities to ensure maximum cost efficiency.
  • Experience with SDS sheets, using, cataloguing and teaching
  • Knowledge of Wastewater procedures in order to collect water and waste-water samples in accordance with QA programs and applicable environmental regulations
  • Must have performed in at least one Certifying Body Audit for Food Manufacturers Since 2019. Ex, SQF, BRC…
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required. n and 3-years of food quality experience is required.
  • 2+ years experience in a Sanitation role at any level in a food manufacturing facility (Pre or post farm gate, either is fine)
  • 2+ years managing people and/or processes (Does not have to be the same 2 years)
  • The position is primarily 3rd shift ,as most sanitation positions are, but has room to grow into other QA positions that could be on day shift.
  • Excellent Communications Skills (Verbal, Written, Expressive)
  • HACCP Certification preferred, but not required.
  • SQF certification
  • Bilingual is desired (Spanish)

The compensation for this position will be determined by the qualifications and experience the candidate brings to the job. However, the targeted compensation is $65,000 to $75,000+, but if the successful candidate brings enough value, the client may pay a much higher base salary. This company pays 100% of the employees medical, dental and vision!
