POSITION DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Scenario Centre Underwriter is responsible for accurate and timely data entry, assessment and decisioning of new and existing proposals submitted to Genworth. They will also manage inbound and outbound queries and work with our customers around solutions of insurance proposals.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Provide and maintain outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
• Provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders relating to reviews and solutions for LMI proposals
• Accurate data entry from application documents
• Assess LMI proposals according to underwriting policy & procedure, consistent within delegation level
• To assist other team members in their duties as required

Qualifications – Required

• At least 2 years residential housing lending experience
• Solid understanding of risk assessment principles
• Risk/credit assessment experience with strong commercial acumen
• Demonstrated ability to provide superior levels of customer service
• Superior verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Demonstrates a proactive approach at all times
• Is a strong team player with good interpersonal skills
• Displays high standards of personal integrity and honesty
