School Administrative Assistant/Office Manager

 

Needed to work during the academic year in a busy office performing a wide variety of administrative assignments. Duties to include: preparing correspondence and reports, handling phone calls, maintaining academic records, managing school data systems (training provided), distributing mail, working closely with the Principal and Dean of Students, ordering school supplies, and arranging substitute teacher coverage.

 

This position will also be the first point of contact for students and staff arriving in the school office for a wide variety of needs. Therefore, experience and ability to work with student needs is a must.

 

We require an ability to work with many people and competing demands professionally and with a personable nature and calm/consistent demeanor. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, three years’ office experience, proficiency in word processing and data base programs, and use of g-mail to communicate and share files. Confidentiality and a high level of ethical behavior are a must.

 

Kurn Hattin is a residential school located on a hillside in beautiful Westminster Vermont serving children from at-risk backgrounds.
