Job Skills / Requirements

American Security & Investigations LLC is looking for a passionate and dynamic Area Manager to provide leadership training on strategic competencies to grow the business in the Twin Cities. The role functions as a partner to leaders in the field to deploy strategies in alignment with our L.E.G.S. strategy and increase retention for a highly-engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives our Leadership Engagement Growth and Safety Enterprise strategy to leadership and associates
  • Focuses to reduce turnover through engaging current employees
  • Manages site managers/supervisors in the field to ensure customer expectations and agreed upon KPIs are met
  • Take corrective action with employees as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with human resources as appropriate
  • Advises facility service managers on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances, etc.
  • Ensures facility services managers and supervisors are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts management of cost and labor over run. Makes recommendations and implements solutions
  • Possesses the will to “own” their area, create a zero loss culture by not accepting any cancellation without a fight; remains engaged and helps resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Keeps safety a top priority: Provides near miss reporting and drives process improvements by identifying near misses and completing safety audits

Education and Experience Required
  • 5 - 7 years of security supervisory, military, or law enforcement experience
  • Progressive leadership experience in security or similar environment
  • Experience in a mobile leadership role with responsibility for a decentralized workforce and multiple customers

Associates degree or 1-3 years equivalent experience

This job reports to the Area Manager/Director of Operations

This is a Full-Time position Business Hours- may require weekends and evenings .
