The Senior Clinical Database Programmer is responsible for the development, validation, deployment and maintenance of database builds in support of clinical studies.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, validate and maintain EDC clinical trial databases in accordance with study protocols and/or source documentation
  • Generate and maintain all required documentation related to programming activities; ensure quality of the programming and adherence to company standards
  • May program and test SAS reports to support data review efforts and identify possible data inconsistencies
  • Assist with management of external application vendor responsibilities, integrations, and implementations
  • Proactively monitor scope of work to actual work, alerting management of potential change orders or resourcing needs
  • Actively participate in database-related user groups and pursue ongoing training in Advanced Clinical EDC platforms

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Strong understanding of departmental and company procedures; ability to guide others on procedures
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years direct clinical database programming experience in pharmaceutical development or CRO environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Work experience may be substituted for degree
  • Experience with Medidata Rave
  • Working knowledge of relational database development and CDASH standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required
