Our $3 billion revenue manufacturing client located in the Schaumburg area seeks at Senior Cost Accountant to join the team.

This role is ONSITE and just minutes off the I90 expressway. Growth has been explosive which has created the push for more talent. This is a upwardly mobile role with regular exposure with C-Suite company leaders and has strong promotion potential.

• Collecting and analyzing data for operational costs.
• Update standard costs in the Bills of Materials.
• Work with operations team to analyze appropriate labor and overhead by product line.
• Lead the month end close process.
• Perform account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Assist in annual budget process and monthly forecast.
• Assist in implementing software upgrade for Accounting team.
• Assist in preparing Capital Expenditure requests by calculating ROI and NPV of future cash flows.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis, as requests arise.
• Assist in projects as they arise.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of Cost Accounting principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical skillset.
• The individual must be able to work with all departments.
• Intermediate or advanced excel skills is a plus.
