POSITION TITLE
Sr. Credit Research Analyst

LOCATION
Stamford, CT

YOUR ROLE
This position will be a member of the Structured Credit team covering CLO and CMBS portfolios and report directly to the Head of Investment Grade Credit. The successful candidate will play an important role in evaluating new investment opportunities and managing existing investment positions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform credit analysis of CLO and CMBS Transactions in both new issue and secondary markets
• Make buy/hold/sell recommendations in support of investment and portfolio needs
• Review CLO/CMBS portfolio holdings according to internal surveillance requirements, including:
o Maximizing Usage of Trepp, Intex, Thomson-Reuters, and Bloomberg to evaluate fundamental performance
o Maintaining on- going dialogue with CLO managers including formalized due diligence and site visits
o Follow up with trustees, servicers, special servicers, rating agencies, bankers to determine causes of performance variance versus expectations
o Compare the performance to our original expectations and revise our internal ratings as necessary
o Participate in monthly credit reviews for structured finance asset classes and watch list discussions
• Perform impairment and other cash flow testing on the portfolio including:
o Create and lead discussions with stakeholders on assumptions for Other Than Temporary Impairments (OTTI)
o Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of securities identified for impairments and work with auditors
• Prepare portfolio reviews and participate in Portfolio Strategy Discussions
• Actively contribute to Investments-wide projects and process improvements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, or related area(s) of study
• Minimum of 3 years of experience investing in structured products: CLO or CMBS
• Experience in analyzing or modeling a variety of deal structures
• Experience with Trepp, Intex, Thomson-Reuters, Bloomberg, CoStar
• Experience and expertise discerning trends from large data sets in short time periods
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Team player who can adapt to changing priorities
• Strong Excel and Power Point Skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or equivalent degree
• CFA or candidacy
