We have been around since 2003 excelling in the EdTech Industry. Our engineering team builds software that reaches hundreds of thousands of students and sparks joy as they learn. The team is quickly growing and on track to expand 40+% over the next year.

We need a Senior Lead of UI/UX to build out the user experience and interface from ground up. This new position will be reporting to the VP of Product and will start out as a team of one. After one year this role will begin to grow and manage the UX/UI Team. We are looking for 5+ years of experience with UI/UX or Product Design (manager or director level) and are reviewing portfolios with strong UI and Visual Design work samples.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead user experience efforts and set vision for user experience across our suite of educational products
• Collaborate closely with our Product and Marketing teams to set design strategy, optimize existing user interfaces and experiences, and conceptualize user interfaces and experiences for new products and features
• Create, share, and iterate through ideas via storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, or other methods
• Collaborate with Art, Engineering, and Project Management to translate those ideas through implementation into delightful experiences
• Create a user-centric and data-driven culture by conducting user research, interviews, surveys, and user testing and by analyzing the data and outcomes of user experience projects
• Establish the UX/UI domain by developing processes, standards, and best practices for design, testing, and research
  

What You Need for this Position

• 5+ years of UX/UI or Product Design experience, ideally including experience at the Manager or Director level
• Solid online portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design skills with a focus on user-centered design
• Experience owning design strategy, conducting research, and participating in the design process from end-to-end
• Experience leading multiple strategic projects and working collaboratively across teams
• Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
