MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants. *Description* Reporting to the SVP of Legal, the Senior Legal Counsel will: * Provide pragmatic advice and solutions to internal clients on a wide range of real estate matters * Draft and review a wide range of commercial and residential real estate agreements, with a focus on real estate leases (commercial, retail, residential), purchase agreements and property management-related documents (PMAs) * Provide asset management and property management support from a legal and compliance perspective for US offices * Oversee external counsel on litigation and L&T leasing matters * Work closely with the legal team on other matters as assigned * JD from a US Law School * Admission to NY State Bar * 4-10 years of experience with residential NYC real estate law gained at a law firm, in-house, or a combination of both with a strong emphasis on real estate leasing and property management, particularly in one or more of the following asset classes: industrial, commercial/office, data center and lodging (dorming, multi-family) * Prior in-house experience preferred at a property manager/landlord * Experience dealing with PMAs and a wide range of leases, leasing agreements/amendments, etc. * Familiarity with applicable United States federal and state laws, particularly as they relate to real estate matters * Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as a high level of integrity * Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal clients at all levels Our client is a leading real estate development, investment, capital and property management company. * Competitive base salary * Bonus * Benefits * Excellent working environment * Opportunity for growth more
