Senior Machine Operator

We are currently seeking a Senior Machine Operator with the below qualifications: 

Professional Attributes 

• Movement & preparation of all raw materials and finished product for manufacturing
• Break relief.
• Make recommendations to management for any changes to the Standard Operating Procedures to facilitate continued improvement. 
• Assist the Quality Department as needed to investigate root cause/solution for Non-Conforming Material and Supplier Corrective Action issues/reports. 
• Schedule Molding operators as needed, and temporary production personnel for shifts, lunch schedules and breaks to maximize efficiency and meet schedule needs, when lead is out.
• Assists technician and Inspector Packers when needed.
• Disposal of waste to proper container and regrind product as required.
• Prepares finished product for warehouse.
• Visually check to make sure there are no defects and pull samples for visual inspections.
• Sort out runners, raw material, and any other contaminants from the bin.       
• Make sure all bins, bags, and boxes holding product must be free from outside contaminates.        
• Verify the scale is tared before weighing a box.    
• Use a 300-piece sample, to verify the scale is working properly.
• Recordkeeping as required
• Participate in problem-solving & improvement teams
• Assist with labeling and inventory of materials
• Support Shipping and Receiving by assisting in loading or unloading shipments to the warehouse as needed.
• Communicate to lead and QCIT any issues associate with the work area.
• Perform all tasks according to the Quality Assurance Manufacturing Plans and Operator Instructions (The proper performance and accuracy for all operator job functions including procedures, trimming, packaging, quality, productions rates, rework, etc.).
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Maintain and obtain proper tools and supplies for specified jobs.
• Maintain and improve a safe working environment
• Responsible for safety and housekeeping in assigned work area.
• Employee may also be asked to assist other departments if help is needed in those areas.
• All other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Desired Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or 6 months experience in manufacturing industry.
• Positive outlook while working through obstacles 
• Self-starter, high level of initiative 
• Detail orientated 
• Good time management skills 
• Good communication skills — written, verbal, active listening
