Location: Sheetz Corporate - Claysburg, PA- Pittsburgh, PA - Lancaster, PA - Harrisburg, PA

This role qualifies for a partial remote work arrangement. This is not a fully remote role. Candidates must reside or relocate within a 3-4 hour commute to our Claysburg, PA headquarters. There will be routine in-person expectations for meetings and other travel to offices and stores in our six state footprint in OH, MD, VA, NC, WV and PA.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Responsible for the strategy and execution of all store and non-store recruiting activities enterprise-wide for a growing 23,000 employee, 640 store operation. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, participates as a member of the Recruiting Leadership Team (RLT), responsible for coaching and developing team members and provides project leadership to talent acquisition initiatives. Interfaces with and influences a wide variety of service providers, technology vendors, teammates and internal stakeholders to drive a sense of urgency to fill roles in a highly competitive retail environment. Responsible for managing a budget, tracking metrics and developing programs in support of the HR and Talent Acquisition strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Maximizes the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities to the store and non-store recruiting teams.
  2. Aligns team members individual goals with TA strategy, providing ongoing performance feedback, coaching and developing direct reports, and ensuring a positive/engaging work environment for the TA team.
  3. Collaborates with the head of talent acquisition, HR and business leaders to develop and execute an enterprise talent acquisition strategy aligned to the companys strategic priorities and annual goals.
  4. Partners with the recruitment marketing and employer branding team, to incorporate online and offline strategies to attract high quality talent.
  5. Partners with the recruiting operations team to ensure a seamless and compliant hiring process for candidates and hiring managers.
  6. Develops and maintains a highly data-driven approach to managing the recruitment process. Works with internal data resources to create metrics and dashboards to be used for uncovering insights that drive decision-making.
  7. Oversees all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews and communication) and implements improvements to increase candidate and hiring manager satisfaction.
  8. Oversees all aspects of the candidate selection process (to include assessments, interviewing, screenings, etc.) and implements improvements in order to meet established standards and KPIs.
  9. Develops and fosters a relationship with diverse talent pools in order to attract diverse candidates.
  10. Participates in the recruitment and interviewing of key leadership roles.
  11. Collaborates with the Recruiting Leadership Team to develop and manage the talent acquisition budget to ensure company recruitment resources are leveraged effectively to deliver the intended return on investment to the business (e.g. applicant tracking system, online marketing, advertising resources, external search consultants, etc.).
  12. Works with business leaders to forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans; builds talent plans to proactively fill roles by predicting necessary resources and timelines.
  13. Build, foster and leverage key relationships within HR leadership, key leaders throughout the company, and with other talent acquisition partners including universities/colleges, external search firms and vendor partnerships.
  14. Collaborates with HR Technology team to ensure that the teams recruiting technology meets the organizations needs and that system enhancements are realized.
  15. Collaborates with the Total Rewards team on labor market trends and competitive wage data.
  16. Builds talent acquisition capabilities, processes, and systems across the company. Keeps abreast of external recruiting trends and sourcing techniques to ensure team is utilizing cutting edge practices.


REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Marketing or related field required.Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years experience leading all or a portion of a talent acquisition function required
  • Leading in a retail, hospitality or grocery organization preferred
  • 5 years supervisory experience required
  • Experience managing the hiring of a complex set of hourly and salaried workforce across frontline employees, warehouse, truck drivers, maintenance and corporate preferred
  • Experience developing early career recruiting strategies preferred
