Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for supervising the warehousing and shipping of incoming and outgoing materials
People or Process Management Responsibility: Warehouse personnel
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
- Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse.
- Schedule warehouse team members to meet the demands of the facility.
- Allocate necessary space for stock rotation.
- Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control.
- Oversee shipping and receiving functions as applicable.
- Secure company assets.
- Manage within labor and OPEX budget.
- Manage warehouse space capacity and interface with outside warehouses, planning, and transportation as required.
- Experienced in WMS/RF systems, preferably SAP
- Knowledge of forklifts and associated maintenance
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Forklift certification
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2-4 years of related supervisory experience.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, transportation, purchasing, customer service, sales or similar supply chain department
- Requires experience managing people/budgets.
- Computer and database application skills
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product
- Forklift certification is required within first 6 months of hire date
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
