JOB SUMMARY:

The Software Developer will directly assist the Senior Software Developer with a wide range of projects related to operational and process control systems for industrial manufacturing.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Modification, development and implementation of operational and process control computer systems.
• Assist in creating reports for users via Business Intelligence or SQL reporting
• Significant time must be spent on the shop floor working with and speaking with operators and engineers to evaluate system performance and find additional areas for improvement
• Assist Maintenance Electronics, Senior Software Developer, Systems Engineer and Corporate IT in troubleshooting of hardware, software or network issues when necessary
• Works with Systems Engineer and Senior Software Developer to provide minimum system down time for all users
• Other projects as requested, including travel (locally, nationally and internationally), if required.
• Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules
• Must be available for situations that may arise outside the course of the regular workday or workweek.
• Meets attendance requirements.
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Minimum Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field required, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field preferred

EXPERIENCE: Basic knowledge of C++ or C# language required. SQL database experience preferred. Python basic knowledge preferred. Experience with industrial applications or manufacturing systems preferred.
