Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky. Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses. MSN required. Certification in area(s) of responsibility (CNOR, CAPA, CPAN) within 1 year of hire date of position.

Specialized Knowledge:

Expert knowledge of OR practice, nursing procedures, instruments, equipment, and supplies. Knowledge of instructional methods. Critical thinking skills. Computer skills necessary to complete job duties. Effective communication skills

Kind and Length of Experience:

Minimum 5 years full-time experience in clinical care delivery in assigned area of responsibility (OR,PACU/SDS/PAT).

General:

Demonstrates willingness to participate by performing other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operations.

May require travel between various sites and variable work hours

Desired:

MSN, Certification in area(s) of responsibility (CNOR, CAPA, CPAN)

Previous experience as an educator in area of responsibility (OR,PACU/SDS/PAT).
