Job Description

We are assisting our client to find and hire a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to fill a 3-month job working Tuesday through Saturday. Hours 8:00-4:30. Our client is a 60-Bed comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility, located within a 355- bed acute care flagship hospital on the Gulf Coast. It is the only licensed comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility in Lee County.

Pay: $54 - $59 per hour based on experience, benefit level and traveler status.*

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist
Provide quality speech therapy services.
Evaluate and assess your patients to establish functional, measurable goals that promote restoration of functional abilities.
Advise and consult with the family and/or other caregivers as indicated to promote the client's level of progress toward mutually agreed upon goals and plan for discharge.
Participate in educating the client and the family or other caregivers to promote the client's progress toward mutually agreed upon goals.
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist
Required Licenses and Certifications: FL License, BLS
MUST have recent SLP ACUTE CARE experience 2 yrs
Bilingual Preferred
Medical In-patient Experience, with feeding experience.
Pediatric Feeding Experience a plus
Recent pediatric acute care experience (within the last two years strongly preferred).
Certification of Clinical Competency and Master s degree in speech language pathology.
MBS experience preferred.
Acute care experience; competent in Video Swallow Studies
