This position will be will directly responsible for the design, maintenance, and support of various data management activities (ETL, Data Profiling, Data Governance, etc.) in numerous production and non-production environments. What you do * Design, implement, and support data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for collection, storage, processing, and transformation of enterprise data assets to enable timely access to actionable business insights. * Work closely with source system owners, business analysts, project management, governance, QA, and other teams to ensure that collected data assets are of high quality and optimal for use across the department and the business at large. * Develop best practices for data management, maintenance, reporting and security. * Continuously evaluate and identify operational, performance and usability metrics; keep track of industry best practices and trends to implement system and process improvements. * Architect, implement and contribute to the core design of data architectures, data models and schemas for BI & analytic solutions that aligns with enterprise standards. * Collaborate with internal/external teams within/outside the organization to design, build and improve the data platform. * Solves unique and complex problems that have an impact on the Business * Demonstrate process, methodology and delivery excellence thru due diligence in the discovery, development, deployment, and ongoing production support. * Demonstrate execution effectiveness thru ownership, engagement, and frequent communication What you bring * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required * 5 or more years of overall experience in the I.T. profession * Advanced working knowledge with SQL and experience working with relational databases required * 3 or more years of experience with design and support of data activities using technologies and platforms below * Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc. * Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, DynamoDB, Redshift, Postgres, Cassandra, Snowflake or similar. * Data pipeline and workflow management tools: AWS Glue, Apache NiFi or similar. * AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Lambda, ECS * Stream-processing systems: Spark-Streaming, AWS Kinesis * Languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. * CI-CD: Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Airflow or similar * Previous DevOps or DataOps experience is desired * AWS/Snowflake Certification(s) desired * Insurance or Financial Services industry background preferred What we offer * Our company motto is "Fulfilling Life" and we take that job seriously, with a heavy commitment to volunteering and community support, employee well-being, and providing quality products and services that help our customers create a brighter future. * Being a mutual-based organization, the return on our investment goes back into the company, to benefit our members/customers. * We're committed to professional development, opportunity, inclusion, and diversity.
