Due to continued growth and upcoming retirements, our client, who is privately held, is looking for an experienced Sr. Staff Accountant to work in a small manufacturing facility offering a great work, life, balance. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to be in this role as a career role, having the opportunity to grow within the position.

General Purpose of the Position:

You will work closely with and support the Controller and CFO in daily accounting activities, with the ability to have your hands in many different areas of the accounting basket. You will be managing the accounting for multiple manufacturing locations, as well as, working other projects as assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities We're Requiring Experience:

• Payroll reporting and reconciliations - HR administers payroll you will convert to ledger entries
• Inventory costing and reconciliation - highly preferred
• Maintain fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules
• Support year-end close and audit fieldwork
• A/R & Sales review
• G/L account reconciliations

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting, or 2-year Associates degree in Accounting with 8+ years experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
• Inventory Cost Accounting experience highly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with high attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork
• Great Plains software experience preferred
