We Are Hiring:

Title: Blood Bank Supervisor

What You Will Do:

Superviss the daily activities of a defined laboratory unit.

  • Establishe policies, procedures and protocols for testing.
  • Oversee quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Define analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and reference ranges for test methods.
  • Serve as a resource to laboratory staff as well as other members of the healthcare team.
  • May be responsible for staffing schedules in area of responsibility.
  • Monitor workflow and work volume continuously and adjust worker's job tasks as necessary to ensure daily work completion.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Cytotechnologist credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
    • Licensed Cytotechnologist credentialed from the Tennessee Medical Laboratory Board.
    • Histotechnologist credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
    • Medical Technologist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
    • Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
    • Laboratory Tech credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
    • Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
    • Medical Tech credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory scientist, human sciences or education qualifications as stated per CLIA requirements.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years of experience required.
