Job Title: System Engineering Analyst

Location: Remote India

Hours: Must be able to work 12.30 pm IST to 9.30 pm IST
 

Your Role:
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Pega Platform Engineering Team. The Support Engineer is the first contact for all Pega Platform related technical assistance. Primary responsibilities include
• Proactive monitoring of critical infrastructure involved in Pega Platform including Pega Application, Application Servers, Virtual Machines, Database Environment, Network, Storage, etc.
• Problem reporting and resolution services to a wide variety of Application Users, Application Support teams, IT and Operations Leadership
• Performing tasks to manage Pega platform Obsolescence, Major and Minot upgrades
• Support maintenance and support of underlying infrastructure in partnership with Data Center team
• Diagnose, research, reproduce, and report defects, working closely with Application Support and Project teams
• Help maintain the Pega platform support knowledgebase, writing articles based on first-hand experience
• Provide triage leadership, guidance and status in accordance with Platform service level agreement

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ Years of experience installing and managing an Application/Web server
• 3+ Years of experience with relational database management systems like Oracle
• 3+ Years as System Administrator
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly differentiate between problems caused by hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or network failures
• Log analysis using Splunk or another SIEM product
• Database technologies and SQL knowledge (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)
• Virtualization technology (VMWare, Hyper-V, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Docker, etc.)
• Scripting in Bash, Python, Powershell, etc.
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, including poise in pressure situations
• Authentication and Authentication using various Identity Providers

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in supporting Pega 7+ in an enterprise
• Certificated Pega CSA or above
• Life or Health Insurance Domain
• Familiarity with Gitlab and CI/CD concepts
