Responsibilities:
- Deliver the highest quality candidate experience to ensure Horizon is viewed as candidates' Employer of Choice
- Provide support to internal Talent Acquisition colleagues as well as Hiring Managers and internal/external candidates
- Coordinate and schedule phone, onsite and web-based interviews within specified service level commitments
- Provide interview team members and candidates with appropriate materials to effectively interview and manage interview process while onsite at Horizon
- Participate in departmental project work focused on delivering operational efficiencies and innovations to drive the Talent Acquisition function forward
- Collect and audit all pre-interview documents prior to interviews
- Responsible for supporting candidates throughout the hiring process, including scheduling and coordinating New Hire Orientation to ensure positive candidate experience
- Manages new hire onboarding process by initiating and submitting forms for drug and background investigations; monitor status, and follows-up with candidates and hiring managers, as appropriate
- Ensures that all onboarding paperwork for new hires has been completed, verifies completeness, and sent to appropriate parties completed
- Verifies I-9 Form completeness of information, including auditing of I-9 Form documentation, in accordance with established procedures and laws
- Maintain excellent customer service when communicating with candidates and internal stakeholders
- Assist with submitting candidate travel expenses
- Maintain relationship with third party vendors (Direct Travel, HireRight, etc).
- Initiate and monitor onboarding activities, background checks, etc. to ensure timely completion
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
- Assist in ongoing process improvement initiatives for Talent Acquisition
- Support on ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- HS diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred
- Organized, detail oriented, ability to prioritize, efficient
- Work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
- Operate with a true proactive mind-set and start to anticipate needs in the business
- Ability to create and manage relationships
- Corporate human resources experience preferred
- Proficiency with automated employee and applicant tracking systems (i.e. Workday) preferred
- Working knowledge of state and federal HR laws preferred
- Administrative experience (data entry, filing, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong customer focus, with excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with coworkers, managers, employees and external partners at all levels
- Self-starter who effectively organizes and prioritizes work to meet deadlines
- Maintains high degree of confidentiality due to extensive interface with sensitive employee and company information
- Dependable, consistently on-time, and onsite to facilitate interviews and other business meetings as needed
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to carry, handle and reach for objects
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, e.g. computer, phones, etc.
