Job Description

Specialists in high performance power transmission components for precision machinery ranging from robotics for semiconductor production to state-of-the-art high speed sawmill equipment, we are experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, the U.S. tech and distribution center for the German-based manufacturing company is currently in the process of expanding its Chicago area operations beyond warehousing and final machining, and into a full production site. To realize this next step in organizational growth, we are seeking to expand our inside sales department to provide enhanced support to a growing customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to help identify the best products for their needs
  • Issuing pricing and lead time quotations
  • Providing basic technical support with the help of engineering as needed
  • Processing custom product design requests and associated orders
  • Fulfilling documentation requests and quality/compliance surveys from customers
  • Sending welcome packages, catalogs, and samples to new contacts
  • Coordinating closely with Regional Sales Managers to optimize customer experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a technical field
  • 3-5 years inside sales experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proven ability to understand technical concepts and perform basic calculations
  • Ability to read dimensional drawings and understand requirements
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and ERP systems (SAP a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (German language a plus)
