• Schedule: 

The position will be scheduled to work in the department the 1st Sunday of the pay period from 6:30 AM - 11 PM and on-call 11 PM - 6:30 AM. The position will also work the following Saturday in the department from 6:30 AM - 11 PM and on-call 11 PM - 6:30 AM. There will be two scheduled shifts during the week each pay period.

St. Elizabeth Hospital has a Surgical Tech opportunity that doesn't require any weekday call. This is a weekend option position that receives time and a half for weekend hours worked. This is a great opportunity that is only required to work four days per pay period and is also eligible for part-time benefits. There is flexibility with the FTE, up to a 1.0 FTE if desired.

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

• Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hands required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
• Assists surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
