Job Title: UX Director

Job Location: REMOTE or Seattle/Bellevue WA area

Salary: $160-190k base + 25% + equity

Skills: B2B UX design and strategy implementation experience, team management, react

What You Will Be Doing

• Developing and fostering key cross-functional relationships across R&D, Product, Commercial, Talent and IT teams
• Defining the customer research and design culture and processes that will define R&D deliverables
• Directing (internal staff and third-party) partners to design and implement a digital design system and multiple modern web applications built upon the design system.
• Leading and growing an existing high-performance User Experience team
• Eventually transforming the team to the most modern approach to UX design & development
  

What You Need for this Position

Must Have

• B2B UX design and strategy implementation experience
• Experience leading the vision for a design org before
• 10+ years of experience in user experience design
• Strong experience with React web application development
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of technical stakeholders
• Experience integrating user experience development activities into agile software development methodologies
• A track record of hiring, managing, and developing high-performing UX teams
• Talented in all aspects of design spanning research, functional design, graphic design, motion design, and brand alignment
• Be very capable of presenting credibly to and facilitating meaningful discussions with internal stakeholders, external clients and talent
• Portfolio needs to be strong
  

Nice To Have

• Masters degree
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills coupled with strong commercial orientation and client focus
