POSITION SUMMARY: The Utility Worker is responsible for working in all areas of the hatchery, with the primary responsibilities being to work on the transfer crew and chick processing crew as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

· Trays eggs from farm racks or cases into incubator racks.
· Loads incubators according to schedule.
· Cleans and disinfects incubators, hatchers, egg room, processing rooms and hatchery equipment.
· Transfers eggs from incubators to hatcher trays as part of the Transfer Team and subject to those SOP’s.
· Assists in mixing and dispensing vaccines according to company guidelines.
· Assists in all chick processing functions.
· Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

· Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization
