Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is one of the largest medical practices in New England with multiple locations throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. We consist of a team of professionals ranging from Medical Assistants to Physician Assistants and everything in between. Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties.
Job Description
Conducts vascular histories and physical exams of patients. Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic Lab examinations of carotid, peripheral arterial, venous, abdominal and laser (ELVs) studies. Maintains exceptional patient care. Responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
Analyzes, interprets, and records data obtained from test results. Conducts follow-up studies as required. Records information from tests and patients histories, and analyzes against national statistics. Completes all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
Maintains equipment to ensure operational effectiveness. Assists in maintaining formal Quality Assurance Process. Provides support for maintaining ICAVL accreditation.
Responds to physician questions and clinical needs regarding patient procedures.
Ensures a clean, well-equipped work area. Performs other duties as required in support of the lab.
Qualifications
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Travel to Satellite locations
Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree desirable
Minimum of 2 years- experience as a Registered Vascular Technologist preferred.
Knowledge of the ICAVL certification process helpful.
Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
