At Animal Infirmary of Hoboken, Bayonne Animal Hospital, Downtown Veterinary Associates, and Heights Veterinary Associates we are passionate about providing the best veterinary experience and quality medicine for pets. You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the hospital including customer service, medical data entry, nursing technical skills, and financial skills.

Job Summary

Main duties for this role which are similar to medical transcription include:

• Medical record data entry
• Caring for your assigned doctor, clients, and patients
• Promoting patient flow to minimize client wait times and increase overall efficiency
• Communication with referral doctors / hospitals
• Patient discharges
  
  

Requirements:

• 1-3 years experience in the veterinary hospital is preferred (technician, liaison, customer service) but position is open to other human medical personnel
• Excellent typing skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and anticipate doctor needs
• Strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with veterinary software a plus especially DVMax
• Required to work at least one weekend day each week
