Video Narrative is a production company in Portland, OR that specializes in creating story-driven videos for professional speakers. We work with thought leaders throughout the country, helping them tell their stories in order to build their speaking brand.
Each of our clients is an expert in their industry, whether in leadership, business, health, social media, or any other field. They have built their careers by mastering a skill-set and now share these lessons on stage throughout the world. We tell the stories behind their work.

We are searching for an experienced storytelling editor to join our team.

The perfect fit candidate has years of editing experience and flows smoothly between Premiere and After Effects.

Because we work with thought leaders, an ideal fit candidate is also interested in personal development and loves to be in an environment where they are consistently growing. In each video project, we take the time to learn our client’s industry, the methodology they teach, and the journey that inspired their work. Often they have written books, which we read or review in order to gain perspective on how we will create their video(s).

Your job will be to own the video edit from start to finish. You will work from a detailed creative brief and collaborate with the creative director and client to craft the video.

Typically, each video edit takes between 4-6 weeks and includes 3 rounds of changes with the client.

Although this is not a requirement, we are also interested in editors who would like to be involved in projects from start to finish.

This includes:

• Filming clients on location
• Capturing interviews and b-roll footage
• Editing the final video

Highly skilled in:

• The Entire Adobe Suite
• Adobe Premiere
• After Effects
• Photoshop
• Color grading
• Motion-graphic design
• Audio mixing
• Crafting story-based edits

You are also:

• Extremely organized
• Professional in client communication
• Fun to be around

You need to have your own computer and editing software. We will provide a full suite of resources including music licensing, stock footage, and additional editing resources. In addition, we will also provide the external hard drives and servers for the content you will be editing.

This is a contract position with the option of becoming a full-time employee.
