General Job Description:

IES Residential is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager in our Columbus facility. KEP Electric, a division of IES Residential is an innovative electrical contracting company dedicated to the single and multifamily residential construction industry.

 

The Warehouse Manager plans and organizes receiving, storage and distribution of materials inventory management and equipment inside and between 4 locations. Additional responsibilities include facility maintenance activities. The successful candidate must be highly organized and posses’ excellent communication and leadership skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate operational activities with residential service and dispatch to ensure accurate and timely product delivery; verifies material condition with subcontractors prior to material leaving the yard.
  • Monitors the unloading of deliveries in the warehouse; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection. Routes packing slips to accounting, resolves discrepancies with vendor invoices.
  • Plans schedules and directs all material activities in the Cincinnati warehouse and between satellite warehouses. Maintain storage racks and areas so they are neat, organized and forklift accessible; keeps all inventory marked and properly located; ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
  • Marks and tracks all company equipment and tools; ensure adequate inventory levels, supplies and machinery.
  • Develops a preventative maintenance program for tools and equipment.
  • Operates fork lift, pallet jack and other material handling equipment common to warehouse operations.
  • Maintains record and reporting systems to identify cost centers that can be reduced and/or eliminated.
  • Performs and/or coordinates property maintenance activities for shop, storage, warehouse and office areas as for remote building and modules.
Specific Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years in a warehouse or inventory management.
