Horsham Center for Jewish Life, is seeking a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to work as a Wellness Nurse in our Personal Care Home. We are looking for a leader to help our nursing team continue its mission of caring for residents in an environment where teamwork and compassion are key.

Job Type: Full Time RN/LPN 3p-11:30p

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide daily oversight of resident care in accordance with facility and state standards through supervising and directing nurse staff
• Report to the Director of nursing to ensure excellence in quality care
• Promote patient independence by establishing goals
• Educate residents and their loved ones to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills
• Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Protect residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
• Document resident care services by charting in patient and department records
• Promote continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Ensure nursing supply and equipment maintenance needs are met
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications

Qualifications

Must possess a Registered Nurse (RN) /Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Pennsylvania upon hire.
