Job Description
Staffmark is seeking qualified and motivated Wood Machine Operators to work at a growing and successful insulated panel system manufacturer in Piney Flats, TN. The Wood Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and running assigned machine. Possible machines one could operate include plywood saw, molder, tiger-saw, up-cut saw, omni saw, mortise, and shears based on need, skills, and assignment.
Monday-Friday
2nd shift is from 5 PM to 3:30 AM
Pay rate is based on individual skills and experience and is determined after an in-person interview with client. There is a $2/HR premium for 2nd shift. There is also a retention bonus of $250 after 30 days and $750 after 90 days!
Job Responsibilities of Wood Machine Operator:
- Set up, program, and run a saw, molder, or other wood working machine.
- Perform and log quality checks to ensure accuracy of product.
- Use a variety of hand tools.
- Work quickly but mindfully with minimal errors/mistakes.
- Maintain a clean and safe production area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements of Wood Machine Operator:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but NOT required
- Some machine operation experience required
- Metal working experience preferred
- Steel or composite toed shoes required
- Ability to read tape measure @ 1/16” scale
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
