AUTOSAR Basic Software Engineer

Novi, MI

Our client, a developer of advanced electronic braking systems, is looking for a skilled embedded software engineer, with experience in the AUTOSAR BSW layer, to join their growing team. In this position, software design, software testing, technical support and coordination from existing and new customer requirements for electric brake systems.

Responsibilities of AUTOSAR Basic Software Engineer

  • Analyze internal/external requirements to support the SW implementation and basic software specifications for electric brake system.
  • Technical discussion for Autosar, OTA, MA & Key management process establish with internal and external customer.
  • Integrate CAN communication software and third party software (e.g. interface design between third party & host software).
  • Software develop and validate using testing tool in the various environment such as HIL/SIL and vehicle.
  • Support the software issues analysis and finding the resolution by using various testing environments.
  • Technical SW products management including definition of development steps, functional content, validation and implementation plans.

Qualifications of AUTOSAR Basic Software Engineer

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering with 5+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development. Experience with automotive chassis systems is a plus.

  • AUTOSAR BSW configuration using Electrobit and DaVinci configurator and knowledge of Autosar standards, workflow, and architecture module dependency.

  • Experience working the full software development life cycle based on the customer requirement and coordination. (FORD, GM, HKMC, SYMC, China local)

  • Understand and implement communication protocols and its software interfaces.

  • Developed software in compliance with CMMI ISO 26262, A-SPICE based Software Development Processes

  • Skills to define and design software requirements at the system and unit level.

  • Microcontroller: Freescale, Aurix Tricore
  • Development environment: Tasking, Green Hills Multi
  • Programming Languages and scripting: C language, Python, XML
  • Autosar Tools: EB Tresos and Davinchi
  • Testing/Measurement and debugging Tools: Vector CANoe(CAPL), CANalyzer, CANape, Trace32
  • Version/Issue Control Tools: PTC, GIT, SVN, JIRA, PVCS, Dimensions

Compensation of Embedded Applications Engineer
Salary Range: $95,000-113,000/year

Location: Novi, MI
Type: Direct
Travel: As and when required (domestic and international)
