Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Digital Initiatives Lead role on the Digital Workforce team will lead initiatives within Endpoint Management and Desktop as a Service, with a focus on Employee Experience. The successful candidate will help Synchrony capitalize on the rapidly changing technology environment by working with the engineering teams to plan and develop project ideas, execute project scope and monitor progress. This includes technology road-mapping, new technology implementation, and a focus on on-time, on-budget delivery of activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading an enterprise scale initiatives for over 20,000 end points globally. This leader will interact closely with senior leadership, agile team members, and operational resources to effectively execute the project while balancing project cost, schedule, and scope.

  • Partners with executive leadership, business and IT project team members to ensure that initiative delivery aligns with success criteria.

  • Manages the successful delivery of long-term initiatives with key stakeholders, while prioritizing timelines for delivery and execution.

  • Provides strategic reports and updates for executive leadership, business stakeholders, and IT team as needed.

  • Provides appropriate direction and support to assigned agile team members and matrixed personnel.

  • Monitors performance of initiative delivery to ensure alignment to the approved business case, design, and committed timeline.

  • Develop and deliver additional Digital Workforce solutions to transform, migrate, remediate and deploy workplace technologies and promote innovation.

  • Build representative business cases to prioritize and execute Digital Workforce efforts based on several factors including cost, benefit, risk, complexity, and alignment with the technology strategy

  • Build strong, productive working relationships with our users as well as technology and business partners

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 7 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree high school diploma/GED with minimum 10 years IT experience

  • Experience managing large, global initiatives and mastery managing complex integrated work plans

Desired Characteristics:

  • Desktop as a Service implementation experience

  • Demonstrated Leadership qualities (influencing, leading, delegation, negotiation, conflict management)

  • Strong program management skills

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to understand & translate business process and need into technical project plans

  • Demonstrate accountability, collaboration and shared responsibility

  • Financial Services experience

  • PMP certification

  • Scaled Agile experience

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
