Job Description

Purpose & Responsibilities

Pickering interfaces is seeking a motivated individual to join our US team as a Bookkeeping & Accounts Administrator. The individual will work cross-functionally with our sales and operations team to provide superior customer service to Pickering’s customers in the Americas, while also satisfying the needs of the internal customers within the Pickering Group worldwide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Entry and Management of Pickering Interfaces’ bookkeeping records using the designated software tools. (Currently Quick books)
  2. Customer Invoicing & Statements.
  3. Monitor accounts receivable to maintain acceptable levels of DSO.
  4. Commission calculation, statement issuance, and payments to Pickering sales force and contracted manufacturer’s representatives.
  5. Monthly accounting reports to North American manager and to Pickering HQ located in the United Kingdom.
  6. Coordination with an external accounting firm as necessary.
  7. Accounts payable.
  8. Manage expense account system and process reports on a monthly basis.
  9. Cross-training on quote generation, order entry, order tracking, and light shipping to support the general CS team, as needed.

 

Essential Education, Skills, Knowledge

  1. College degree preferred, with a minimum of five years’ experience working in a similar role. Education with a financial focus is a plus. 
  2. Proficient PC skills using Word, Excel, Outlook, plus CRM databases and related applications. The candidate should be able to create/edit letters/emails and utilize spreadsheets and other related tools with minimal assistance or supervision. Prior experience working with Salesforce.com is a plus.
  3. Demonstrated as having good interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills. The ability to communicate via video conferencing software and through instant messaging platforms is also necessary. 
  4.  Ability to work independently.
  5. Good organizational skills; detail-oriented; ability to manage time in completing job duties.
  6. Highly flexible and adaptable, with a focus on customer satisfaction and a cooperative attitude.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to use a computer or calculator and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear and frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk. Some light lifting is required (10-35lbs)

The work is performed primarily in an office setting.
