Responsibilities

As a brand journalist, you will help Kuno and its clients tell their brand stories. You will interview stakeholders, create buyer personas and develop messaging, which will inform the writing of content assets, emails, advertisements and more.

Your goal is to help our clients build brand awareness, get found online, and capture and nurture leads to grow revenue.

You will work directly with internal account consultants and be “client-facing,” responsible for presenting, strategizing and communicating effectively with clients. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are a must.

General Responsibilities

  • Create and manage editorial schedules for several clients
  • Conduct client interviews and build strategy from information garnered
  • Manage other writers when additional help to complete deliverables is needed
  • Write at least one blog post per month for Kuno
  • Help to plan and execute marketing campaigns, paid ads, emails and video scripts
  • Research, strategize & create content to capture leads (eBooks, whitepapers, etc.)
  • Create content to nurture leads through the sales funnel (emails, CTAs, landing pages)
  • Measure the success of content and materials produced and use the data to make recommendations and develop best practices to maximize the effectiveness of future materials
  • Service multiple clients concurrently while meeting deadlines
  • Input client blogs into HubSpot

Requirements

Education & Training

Kuno uses HubSpot sales and marketing software for most clients. Experience with HubSpot is helpful but not required. You will be given access to the HubSpot Academy online courses for ongoing training and education. During the first six months of employment, you will be asked to complete several video courses that provide certifications for a variety of topics that will help you have the most success in this position. Most courses are composed of a few hours of watching videos followed by a short exam of around 50 multiple-choice questions. The certifications need to be renewed annually.

Job-Specific Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in marketing and/or communications writing
  • Significant experience in making complex concepts easily understood and remembered
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, conversational, grammatically correct documents
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • This is a remote position and requires the ability to work from home using online meeting software such as Zoom, GoToMeeting or WebEx.
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or HubSpot is a plus but not required

Compensation
  • Based on industry knowledge, geography (cost of living), and work experience in comparison to other candidates at the same job level.
