Job Description

HNI Corporation, an industry leader in workplace furnishings and building products, is in search of a Business Analyst to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team in Muscatine, IA! 

In this role, you’ll work both as a technical resource and liaison between the business and the data warehousing team. If you like to solve business problems and build meaningful cross-company connections, HNI might be the place for you.

 What will you do: 

• Develop reports and dashboards through Power BI (and other technologies as needed) to drive business objectives.
• Design solutions for operational data needs that directly impact day to day work for our critical business functions.
• Write business requirements and project plans to connect the needs of the business with the capabilities of our data warehousing team.
• Communicate actionable insights with the business, and foster improved data literacy across the organization.
• Develop relationships with internal and external business partners.
• Ensure projects are delivered within expected timelines and communicate developments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multiple teams in high visibility roles and own the solution development end-to-end. 

Who you are: 

• Bachelors degree in business, data analytics, or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, or other internal or external customer-facing role.
• Hands on experience with Business Intelligence software, preferably Power BI.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering projects from conception to completion in a professional, academic, or volunteer setting.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and consulting skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set.
