As a Business Analytics Consultant Sr. within PNC's Enterprise Fraud Team organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Chicago, IL, Cleveland, OH, Charlotte, NC, Kalamazoo, MI. Please note this position can be remote.

This position will be part of a team that provides analysis, fraud detection strategies, models, and support for fraud across many products.

In this position you will focus on fraud detection and analytics in the digital, commercial fraud, new account acquisition. In your role, you will draw upon a combination of problem-solving, analysis and product knowledge to establish and maintain fraud detection strategies needed to limit fraud losses while balancing customer experience and operations costs.

Core Skills:
• Prior experience in fraud detection and prevention is preferred.
• Alternatively, the candidate can have prior experience in any of the following areas –
 Financial Crimes
 Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and related fields - KYC, CDD, and EDD
 Internal Fraud
 Cybersecurity
 Credit or Counterparty Risk
 Market Risk
 Liquidity Risk
 Digital Identity
 Machine Learning Algorithms
 Data Analytics and Data Visualization
• Excellent programming skills in one of the following tools: Python, R, SQL, and other tools.
• Knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI: You must be able to visualize your results using data visualization tools to make your conclusions more understandable to your audience.
• Analytical aptitude, critical and strategic thinking.
• Determining the optimal analytic and strategic approach for development of Fraud strategies to mitigate fraud loss and improve fraud detection processes.
• Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex strategic solutions to a wide range of audience.
• Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing strategic solution for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.
• Work closely with the model development teams on performance on models utilized in strategies.
• Knowledge and experience with ETL, Data warehouse, Hadoop, Teradata, Tableau
• Serve as SME on all fraud channels including commercial, digital, and New Account acquisition.

Other:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, math, or any quantitative area is preferred.
• Candidate must have either prior banking or financial services experience.

Job Description

  • Leverages complex analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and useful applications across multiple functions or business units to create data driven solutions.
  • Consulting to clients on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development.
  • Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements.
  • Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solution for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
