Wooden Paddle is a communal, wood-fired pizzeria + craft cocktail bar. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take our food, drinks, and service extremely seriously.
And we're growing! We're opening a 2nd (much bigger, 200+ seat!) location in January 2023, so there is an opportunity for the person in this role to quickly move up to Executive Chef of both locations, + our catering division.
What does a typical day look like?
Responsibilities
These are the results our Chef-De-Cuisine / Executive Chef will be hired to accomplish, day-to-day:
- Healthy + High-Performing Kitchen Team

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience, with bonus potential after 90 days.
Work Schedule
This position is full-time and salaried, with a semi-set schedule that allows for flexibility. Days off are scheduled back-to-back. Our Chef-de-Cuisine / Executive Chef will work 5 days, and typically 45 - 55 hours, per week.

Here are some of our must-haves + would-be-nice-to-haves:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- 5+ years of restaurant kitchen experience
- 2+ years of restaurant kitchen management experience, in Chef-de-Cuisine / Executive Chef role, or similar
- Open availability
- The ability to regularly work 50+ hours per week
- A degree in the culinary arts (preferred)
- Experience in fine dining preferred
