The Ascension St. Vincent Critical Care Transport (Adult ·Neonatal ·Pediatric ·Maternal Fetal) team is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS).  We are dedicated to safety, quality, and evidence-based care delivery.

Our Critical Care Transport (CCT) teams provide the highest quality of advanced transport medical treatment using industry-leading equipment while delivering safe and exceptional ICU-level care. 

 

Outside of industry-leading equipment, these crews are staffed with diverse backgrounds including Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Paramedics and EMTs.  This is how our teams can safely coordinate and manage a wide range of emergency calls that include adults, pediatrics and neonatal patients. We work closely with Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St Vincent to ensure we have the team members available to coordinate all pediatric or neonatal calls.

Shifts and Locations Available:

Full time, rotating shift (Day/Night) as needed to cover educational needs. Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, and Night shift hours are flexible based on department needs. 40 hours per week.  Weekends as needed to cover educational needs.  Benefits-eligible: medical, dental, vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement and much more!

In-house education offered on a rolling calendar at both a departmental and organizational level.

Classes include but not limited to: PHTLS, AMLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS, EVOC, Audit and Review, and NRP.

EMT's and Paramedics are able to affiliate with the Critical Care Transport department.

In-house Medical Directors to sign off re-certifications for both EMT's and Paramedics.

What You Will Do:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities related to clinical areas for an assigned service line or population.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with manager and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • Serve as a resource for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice and professional development.
  • Participate in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs.
What You Will Need:

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Additional Preferences:

Requirements:

 

- RN with 3 years of NICU and/or PICU experience or

- RN with 3 years of Adult Critical Care and/or Adult ED experience or

- Paramedic/ or Paramedic Educator with 3 years of experience or

- Respiratory Therapist with 3 years of experience in NICU and/or PICU or

 

Preferred requirements:

 

- Previous experience as a transport clinical educator

- Paramedic with a Primary Instructor certification 

- BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and/or TNCC/PHTLS instructor certifications

- Transport experience preferred 

 

Other requirements:

 

Will be required to obtain an advanced certification within 2 years of hire.  Advanced certifications include but are not limited to:

- Paramedic: FP-C or CCP-C

- Neonatal/Pediatric RN: C-NPT

- Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Therapist: RRT-NPS and C-NPT

- Adult Critical Care/ED RN: CFRN or CTRN
