About the Role:
Festicket is looking for an exceptional Event Operations Manager to help manage and deliver our onsite services, including our cashless payment solution, Event Genius Pay across our growing client portfolio.
Reporting to the SVP of Event Operations you will manage client relationships, scoping requirements and deliver the on-site operations across various greenfield sites, preparing all documentation, equipment and logistics required to deliver the event.
This role requires a significant amount of traveling and being onsite at events, especially throughout the summer months.
What You’ll be responsible for:
- With support from the SVP of Event Operations, take the lead when onboarding any new Event Genius Pay/Access clients whilst maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, offering a first-class service and executing tasks to the highest of standards
- To be the first point of contact for all clients utilizing the Event Genius Pay/Access system
- To attend and manage all greenfield sites, delivering our Event Genius Pay/Access solution
- Arranging appropriate staffing levels in advance and managing event delivery support staff, delegating roles and responsibilities as necessary on-site
- Deliver staff training when on-site to the bar supervisors and vendors as applicable
- Attend client meetings, and technical briefings to gather knowledge and feedback about potential events
- Attend sales meetings as required to support with technical demonstrations
- Responsible for allocating equipment to all Event Genius Pay/Access events, ensuring all equipment has been charged and checked in advance of the event
- Support the account management team ensuring all technical equipment requested by the team for Event Genius Pay/Access is ordered and programmed correctly
- To provide full end to end planning and implementation of on-site events, including setting up events on the Event Genius Pay/Access system and booking travel and accommodation as necessary
- Responsible for pre and post-event reporting, documentation and reconciliation
- With support from the SVP of Event Operations, you will be responsible for generating event P&L’s working to a budget
- Work alongside the client and our wristband supplier to ensure all orders are placed in a timely fashion, providing support and guidance
- Working alongside finance and customer services you will be responsible for managing the post-event refunds process as applicable ensuring remaining funds are processed back to customers and pulling all relevant and necessary reports from the system for client reconciliation
We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that learning, growth and development should be part of any role you do. So some of the role will be learning as you go, and we hope that’s exactly what you are looking for. However, some experience in the following is important for the role:
- Minimum 2 years of experience within a ticketing and/or events industry role
- Proven people management experience and leadership skills within the ticketing and events industry
- Experience of operating RFID/cashless/ticketing solutions which include online sales, access control, and cashless within the events industry. Past experiences using similar technical event management platforms to a high degree. Solid understanding of the wider ticketing/events industry, platforms and requirements
- Enthusiastic and confident with proven experience in managing events and large teams
- Experience of using project management tools such as Asana and Github (preferred, not essential)
- Technically savvy and proficient in MS Office /Google Suite
- Must be able to work between office environments and outdoor environments in all-weather types internationally
- Driver’s license
- Degree educated
- Excellent budget management skills
- Networking knowledge beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized, often working to tight deadlines
- Strong client-facing and relationship skills, approachable and friendly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Confident in dealing with personnel at all levels internally and externally
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy and analytical skills
- A highly motivated and conscientious individual
- A pro-active nature to include a flexible approach to hours of work and location of duties
