Event Support Coordinator

Are you an event planner ready to take on an exciting, new challenge? Check out this Event Support Coordinator role! This full-time, temporary role is within an academic institution and will provide support in all aspects of event logistics.  Event Support Coordinator duties include:

  • Assisting with event collateral materials (badges, promo items, programs, etc.), distribution of invites, and tracking of RSVPs.
  • Providing support for vendors, transportation, hotel arrangements for guests, and reservations.
  • Assisting in event tracking process for alumni database and helping to maintain a budget spreadsheet for each event
  • Assisting and attending events as needed
  • Supporting with department program logistics including collateral, badges, room reservations, program student list, and communication.
  • Helping to maintain a calendar of events

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in event planning preferred
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office & Google suite) required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft desirable
  • Higher education experience a plus

The Event Support Coordinator role is a temporary, full-time position with a pay rate of $25 per hour. The assignment is in the Amherst area and will run through January 2023.
