Note:  This position could be filled in either Columbus, OH or at the San Diego, CA office.  Applicants address must be within greater area of Columbus Ohio Corporate office or the greater area of the San Diego CA office.

Position Summary:

Prepare financial forecasts, variance analyses, and ad hoc analysis of strategic opportunities for the Unregulated Energy Supply Renewables business. Analyze and make recommendations on general business strategy and enhancements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:

1) Initiate and formulate financial forecasts, in conjunction with operating company personnel, using corporate financial models including the identification of significant strategic issues and alternative and/or contingency plans.

2) Perform monthly/quarterly variance reporting and analysis of budget vs. actual results and actual vs. prior year results for the primary purpose of improving future forecasts. This analysis will also aid Energy Supply in understanding their financial results and assist Financial Reporting in SEC reporting.

3) Assist in developing special strategic evaluations of Energy Supply Renewables opportunities and assist in making recommendations based upon the results of the evaluations.

4) Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and revenue enhancement.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications for Financial Analyst Sr:
Education:  Bachelor's Degree, preferred majors include accounting, finance, economics, business administration or engineering.
Experience:  4 or more years of work experience in the disciplines mentioned in the education requirement

Physical demand level is Sedentary

Basic Qualifications for Financial Analyst Prin
Education:  Bachelor's Degree, preferred majors include accounting, finance, economics, business administration or engineering.
