Janome currently has a full time opening at its headquarters in Mahwah, NJ for a Graphic Design Specialist in the Marketing Department.

Summary of Position: The Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for designing advertisements (Print and Digital), special events materials, package design, logos, brochures, one-sheets, and landing pages. Designs and promotional materials can be utilized both nationally and internationally.

Essential Job Functions:

 Develop graphics and layouts for print and digital advertising, websites, social media, e-newsletters, catalogs, brochures and flyers. Creative must be aligned with Janome branding and customer demographics.

• Develop layouts for trade show booth signage.
• Shoot photography in-house. Photos will be primarily of products, sewing and embroidery samples, and will also include lifestyle photography.
• Retouch photos, including silhouetting product images.
• Source and select stock photography, video and music as needed.
• Print in-house signage, catalogs, workbooks, brochures, and carton labels.
• Determine paper and materials needed for in-house printing, and order materials to meet deadlines.
• Assist with other marketing projects, as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Media Services or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years advertising support experience and a general understanding of advertising a plus
• Experience with using Content Management Systems
• Web related skills in Dreamweaver

• Competency and knowledge in Adobe Design Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver
