Job Description

Northlake Behavioral Health System is a premier not-for-profit behavioral health hospital and clinic system dedicated to serving our community. We provide specialized acute inpatient services for adolescents and adults and a broad range of outpatient services.

The Ness Center at Northlake is seeking passionate LPN’s to serve in our crisis walk-in clinic. You don’t need to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but if you work hard, play nice, and strive to grow professionally we could be your ideal match.

While there is no typical day in the office, you can expect to:

  • Assess patient needs, plan and implement patient care activities, and evaluate the patient’s response to treatment
  • Act within the therapeutic milieu and direct the delivery of nursing care by other members of the treatment team as needed
  • Provide psychological assessments and evaluations, manage complex medical and behavioral treatment regimens
  • Collaborate with MD for admission of patients into IOP program
  • Coordinate with MD to call in patient medications to pharmacies as prescribed
  • Reconcile medications with all providers prescribing patient medications
  • Complete nursing and other salient assessments on all IOP patients
  • And, of course, provide other duties as assigned :)

 

You are ideal for this role if you have:

  • Louisiana or Compact State LPN Licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Experience working with behavioral health populations specifically clients with substance use disorders and trauma preferred
  • A sense of humor, which is always appreciated
